Blessings and Catch up

Okay, so there have been many things going on in our lives recently, so I have not had time to post them all. So I want to try and catch up a little on what we have been up to.
~~~
First of all we had some great times with our friends who came to visit us from our old town. It was so great to see them and to be able to scrap (me and Kassie) and play games (Tu, Noah, and the guys) and spend time hangin out. Then the following weekend....
~~~
~~~
Then we were so blessed to be able to attend a Marriage Conference with the author of Wild at Heart and his wonderful wife (blanking on their names right now). We went with our good friends Dave and Noel! It was such a blessing to be able to go! Thank you Lord!
~~~
This last Monday parents came up and we and a great time just hangin out with them. We even got to have dinner at Claim Jumper (one of our favs), and meet up with U. Greg and A. Dianne. It was great to see them. Oh, and a huge blessing came when my parents blessed us with a new couch. It is was such a blessing, and we are so thankful! Thanks Dad and Mom! Oh, and the best part was watching Tre and Aaliyah fight (in a loving way :) over Nana & Dad Brown's attention! They just loved having them here!
~~~
Also I was so excited to have some of my scrapbooking layouts published in Scrapbook News and Review this month. So much fun! Thank you JESUS!
~~~
So, that about wraps things up. Oh.... how can I forget my pregnancy update for those who care and want to pray for our little one. Our new due date is Aug. 25th, which is 5 days before My brother and my b-day. So we shall see what the Lord has in store! We are excited and covet your prayers for the health of our little one! I am feeling a bit yucky throughout the day, but I know that is a good thing, right? Well at least that is what Tu keeps telling me! "Good stuff is happening when your feelin sick Jewels." Oh, but it would be so much more fun if I didn't :) lol!
I am thankful for the new life the Lord has blessed, so if I need to be sick to allow health for the little one; it's worth it to me! I did a layout of our first peek of #3, but it's for Practical Scrapper DT so I will have to wait to share!
~~~
Thanks for stoppin by! Blessing to you this week. Last thing, I promise :) Here is a layout I did of Tre's 1st b-day! Just had to share!
...Love hopes all things, believes all things, ... Love NEVER Fails!
Here is a layout I did of the LOVE God blessed me with!
I used one of the Personal Scrapper Kits from 08.
I was blessed with one of the Creative Memories wall hanging frames, and I love being able to display a layout each month, or a themes of the holidays, so I added this layout to it as a V-day decoration for the home.
Just a little V-day Card! (inspired by a challenge at Scrapbook Get Away).
And lastly here is a Fun little V-day Mail box that I altered. We plan on displaying it in our home each V-day and placing little notes to each person in the family. A fun way to bring some FUN LOVE to the home!
Here is the front of the Mail Box "Price" is our last name :)
And here is the back "Love"
And a close up of our little flag!
And here is my Rak... The calendar you can alter as I did Here! It makes a great exercise calender to track all those workouts for your new years resolutions :)
Practical Scrapper & MLK Weekend
Here is my layout for the "embossed challenge" over at Practical Scrapper. Head over and post your embossed layout. My layout is the first time we ever gave Tre a pacifier, and once he could talk he called it his "bah." We really don't know why, but that is what he called it! Oh, my I am feeling old when I say the time is really flying! Just look at the difference between this picture of him in this layout and the picture below! AWE! Me little by is growin so fast! STOP!
Okay so This weekend was MLK weekend and we were blessed to have some time with family and friends. We usually have a MLK party to celebrate the amazing boldness and sacrifice Martin Luther King took for equal rights, but this weekend we had a few friends over for games, and just hung out at home! We still are very thankful for a weekend to spend time together and reflect on such a great moment in history!
One of the greatest aspects about Martin Luther King and the whole civil rights movement was the willingness to be BOLD and stand for RIGHTEOUSNESS! This is something many CHRISTIANS have lost! I am so challenged and inspired by the stand that was taken and the persecution faced for a Biblical Principle to be established! I truly praise the Lord for the example that was set for us!
So with that let me challenge us to do the same! In a world that is accepting more and more evil and things that are totally contradicting to the Lord and the Bible; let's be BOLD!
Let's stand for CHRIST in the SAME way! Being willing to be BOLD for the sake of CHRIST and stand against ALL things that are contrary to God's word!
Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the RIGHTEOUS are as BOLD as LIONS!
Here are just a few areas that we can be BOLD light for our God!
*Don't gossip and be apart of dissension!
* Flee sexual sin!
*abortions clinics: writing and protesting standing against taking lives of the innocent!
* Media: writing and protesting against companies (example: Carl's Jr. owned by Hue Heftier- playboy owner, victoria secret advertisements) who are defiling our homes, marriages, and children with the images and sexual content they plaster over commercials, tv shows, movies, and magazines. (don't buy it, don't go to that movie, don't support their company!) In the late 90's my mom and I wrote letters to a chain clothing line who were promoting extremely revealing clothing for teens, and slogans on shirts that were inappropriate. We wrote letters telling them of that they were promoting promiscuity and sexual activity amongst teens through their advertisements and revealing clothing. We explained that we felt they were inappropriate and if they didn't change them we would stop shopping and recruit our church family to do the same. Soon after the commercials did change, and not long after that the store closed completely. This is just one example of how it does make a difference when we stand for what's right! Proverbs 28:1
*Homosexuality: Lovingly standing against the sin and offer Christ's love! Galations 5
* Bill boards: Write/call and express your unhappiness with their sign infringing upon your rights as an american and as a Christian!
SO my challenge to you (to myself) is to STAND with BOLDNESS as MLK did for CHRIST! Write, protest, pray, take action, and stand against unrighteousness, and STAND for CHRIST for righteousness!!!
Many Blessings; and some Scrappin
Here is the layout I did for Practical Scrapper this week. The challenge is "Bling." You should definitely submit your "Bling" Layouts for a chance at winning a prize! So fun! Oh, and the other designers did a fab job on this too! Check it out.
And here begins my layout from this week...
The start of the new week is upon us, and I have lots to do this week. But I wanted to stop and reflect on a few blessed moments in my life. I am so thankful for these moments...
1. Spending Saturday night with my hubby, some take out and a movie.
2. Watching my kids play together in the back yard.
3. Watching my kids get so excited to see each other after they get up from their naps. IT's so precious; they hug and squeal with excitement!
4. Having a weekend with NO plans and enjoying the family God has blessed me with!
5. Our friends from Bible study
6. Ability to scrapbook
7. My sweet friends
8. Being blessed to be prego
9. Hearing the Lord speak to me through His Word (the Bible)
10. Looking through pictures and layouts with my family and reminiscing about the many blessed times we have shared :) God is so good!
This past week I have been doing some scrappin lately and wanted to share some of my recent layouts!
Blessings to you all and thanks for stoppin by!
Monday... Monday...Monday
Well, today marks the first Monday of the end of vacation. Tu had to go back to work today and it was a sad moment for us all. Tre did not like daddy leaving and has cried when he left and has cried/wined for him a few times today. It was a sad day. But we are so thankful for the amazing break and time together we had as a family. Here is a recap of our vacation and a few picture and my layout for Practical Scrapper's Button Challenge. I just love the pic of sis (Alliayah) and Tu.
I pray your all having a great week and accomplishing those new set goals for the new year!
Blessings and thanks for stopping by!
Okay, so these are not in order, they actually go from most recent back. Hope you enjoy!
Well since we moved here we have been wanting to visit Malibu. I have lived in Cali most my life (outside of college years) and have never been. It was BEAUTIFUL! Tu and I decided this would be one thing we did over break, so when my parents came to visit we were excited for them to join us! We had a great day; enjoyed some sweet time together, had fun looking at all the beautiful homes and of course the beauty of our Lord's creation in the mighty ocean and mountains, stopped for some fresh seafood (thanks so much dad and mom for treating us), had some ice cream, took some pics and enjoyed our time together! It was a blessing! So glad we went!
