Review, Recap, & Resolve

I just love New Years! It's such a fun time to Review, Recap, and Resolve! Love the idea of glancing back at the year(s) past and thanking God for the full life He has given us! Plus, I just love New Starts, setting goals, and looking forward to a New year!
~~~So if your up for a question, leave me a comment and tell me what is one goal your making for the New Year?~~~
Okay, so with all the excitement of finding out we are expecting I have not posted my crafty creations this week. So here they are! Thanks all for your sweet love in comments! You all bless our lives!
~~~
Here are two different calendars I created for the new year and Everyday Scrapper and Practical Scrapper! These were so fun and easy to make! Great gifts for friends, and they can be great for workout journals or just daily appointments! I have also used these for pregnancy to keep track of important dates, appointments, and baby stats and info given at check ups. It is nice because I can have one for each baby and then later refer to it for scrapping layouts!
~Before~ ~After~
~~~
I love reflecting upon the year about to expire! All that God did in my life and all the great time He gave me with family and friends! Here are a few layouts of Years in review done in the past! I love looking back at the many blessings! Thank you Lord~
~~~
Another great part about the New Year is setting New Goals and Resolutions and looking forward to the blessings of the future! Here is a layout of 08's goals! I am working on 2010's! Will share when it's complete! If you have 2010 resolution layouts I would love to see! Leave me a link to yours!
Blessings to you all as you head into the New Year! May the Lord richly bless you and may you come to know and have a personal relationship with Jesus, our savior, creator, redeemer, and friend! John 14:6! I truly pray blessings upon you and your family this year!

Special Day...A bun in the Oven

Okay, so December 12th is a special day in the Price family!
On December 12th we celebrated the anniversary of our engagement. Tu purposed to me on a beautiful winter night in Deerfield, IL on the great date of December 12th. He had little gifts for me at each stop we made. CD's he made, flowers, candy, pictures, etc. For dessert we went to the Cheesecake factory where he presented me with a long stemmed red rose and as we sat in the booth he read me a story, written by him about a little girl and boy who God put together, about how they fell in love, and then in the middle of the story he got down on one knee and expressed his love and God's will and purposed for us as a couple. It was amazing! The little white box had a light that illuminated the stunning ring when he opened it. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful!
After the that excitement he took me to look at Christmas lights and then to a banquet room where he had set candles, music, and sparkling sider to celebrate! It was truly a night to remember.
So every year at Christmas time (December 12th) we always reminisce on that wonderful night! It is such a special date for us.
Well this year I decided to do something special for Tu, so I sent him on a scavenger hunt through our home and each clue led him to this final announcement...

That's right! Our third little bun is on the way! We are so excited and blessed that the Lord has given us the opportunity to be parents again. Our little baby is due August 9th and we are thrilled! So please keep us in prayer and the baby as we wait the arrival!

Jam Packed Traditions

Here is my Traditions layout I completed for Practical Scrapper. It is my tradition to take a photo of my babies in their Santa hats! It's not the traditional Christmas colors, but hope it's fun to you!
Being that we have just moved and we are in a new place we have added a few things to our Christmas week that we have truly enjoyed! It has made this last week jam packed with Christmas traditions and events, but it's been well worth it! Okay so this last weekend (starting Thursday) was crazy! Completely jam packed with all kinds of activities. Thursday started the weekend with Tu's football banquet! It was an amazing time and a wonderful turn out! All the players and parents were such a blessing all year! Oh, and my hubby is COACH OF THE YEAR! Yeah! Congrats TU! All glory goes to the LORD, and we praise Him for what HE allowed to happen this year through the great game of football!
Here is the Coach of the Year all dressed up for his banquet

Friday we had our marriage couples bible study all go out for a couples date night! Tu and I decided to leave a hour early, get some time to ourselves and then join the group! It was such a great time! We ate some bbq and then went bowling. A few late nighters came to our house for games after that too! It was a blessing to hang with other couples and have a night out for fun!
Here are the girlies!
And the Guys!
Tu and I enjoying our bowling date!
~~~
On Saturday we headed to Fullerton for our friend Kevin's wedding! It was a beautiful wedding and we were able to catch up with some old Trinity Friends! Fun times!
~~~
On Sunday we were so blessed to be able to visit the assisted living home with our small group. Visiting the Assisted living home was such a blessing. We were able to sing come Christmas songs and show them we the love of JESUS through our love!
Tre did a great job and was running up to the people and hugging them, sharing his candy canes and hand made cards while saying, " Mewwy Cwitmaz." Oh, it was truly precious! I pray it blessed their lives as much as it did ours!
~~~
Oh, and finally on Sunday night we went to a wonderful event called Back to Bethlehem: What an amazing experience! Both kids loved it; well maybe I should say all kids (including tu and i) loved it! It was remarkable how the Rocky Mountain Peak church put this together (and it was free)! The transformed a whole field into Bethlehem. They had shekels to by bread, spices, pottery, and other unique to that time items. They had Roman solders, and animals, angels, and of course they had Mary, Joseph, and baby JESUS! It was so worth it! What a great opportunity to share the true story of Christmas with the world!
Have a blessed Christmas to you all! Enjoy the true meaning of our Christmas season! JESUS! The KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!
Celebrate Your Dad
Well, it is my dear daddy's birthday today! Tre and Aaliyah's "Dad Brown."
Happy Birthday to you dad! It's our day to celebrate you!
~~~
Okay, since it's his birthday I wanted to take a little time to brag about him. He is a wonderful Godly man who is passionate about Jesus! His love for the Lord is evident in his life and it pours out of him to everyone he knows! He does an amazing job at pastoring a church (Calvary Chapel Romoland)and ministry (U-turn for Christ). He is a loving husband and amazing daddy! He is the most generous person I have ever met and he does it out of a pure heart to give! The Joy of the Lord is all over his face and it makes you just want to be around him all the time! We love him so much and treasure each time we spend with him! The kids call him "Dad Brown" which is after his father, my grandpa who passed years back. The kids love him and so do we. We were blessed to be able to celebrate his birthday together on Sunday night. Here is the card and envelope we made him and some pictures, oh, and the last picture is my recent favorite of the kids! We had a great time celebrating together!

Christmas is about JESUS!

Oh, how HE is the reason for this sweet, sweet Season! The birth of Jesus is such a gift to us all!
Without His great sacrifice there would be no hope of eternal life! I am so thankful for His love for me and His willingness to come to this earth, die, and then rise again so that I may have LiFE!!! Oh how He deserves all the attention, glory, and praise always, but especially now! So during this beautiful month of December don't forget to enjoy Him! Don't let the chaos of gift giving and events rob you of enjoying the celebration of the KING'S birth! What a gift His life was to us all!
Also, I was challenged with this thought... When you decorate for Christmas.... Is JESUS the Center of your decorations? Is there decorations around your home that celebrate the true meaning of Christmas? Jesus Christ's birthday!!!!
Well, it is my desire that I can say yes, yes, yes to these questions! So this year I used some of my scrappy/crafty side to make some decorations that celebrate JESUS!
This is one of the decorations I made for my home this year and for a challenge for Practical Scrappers! Many blessings to you all! If you have decorations that represent our King I would love to see them! Leave a comment with a link to your pics or blog! Thanks for stopping by it means a lot to me! Blessings dear ones!

Take 2: Wreath & Christmas Tree

Here is my take 2 on my wreath! I completed this take 2 for What's up Wednesday at The Everyday Scraper. Come check out the site and share any wreaths you have made with us! This was fun to make and is now hanging on our fire place. Here is some take 2 pictures of our Christmas Tree too (for those of you who were so sweet to remind me to post an after pic :)! The kids had so much fun decorating our little tree! It was a blast! They both loved the lights and taking the ornaments out and attempting to hand them on the tree. Most the time they would try to place them on the tree, let go, and a branch would catch it and they would get so excited that they hung it! lol :) It was fun watching them be so excited!
