Wedding Altered Gift

So, i have this thing I do for weddings as my kind of signature gift. I take the invitation of the people who are getting married and make a keep sake for them to hang in their home and or keep for this lifetime. Sometimes I use pictures of the couple and sometimes I don't. Here is one I made for my cousin's Todd's wedding we attended last weekend; their last name is Baca. And here are a few pictures of the event too. The wedding was on the Queen marry in Longbeach, Ca. It was fun to be able to go. They asked for no kids, so my sweet friend, and former student Alicia, watched our kidos in my parents hotel room. Thanks them both we had a good time! 

Black or Brown

Okay so i had my hair cut and the color changes. I wanted to go darker, as close to black as I could get it without going black, although it looks black, it's not exactly. Anyway. What is your vote? Brown, or Black?

Okay, so I have been letting Tre paint lately and he loves it! It's so cute! He gets oh, so excited about painting!!! He calls it "paining." Well as Aaliyah has been getting mobil with her feet "walking" she wanted to join in on the fun! So i did what any mommy who loves crafting would do :)! We bought a canvas for each of them and let them swing the brush around. This day I was teaching Tre how not to mix colors. He did pretty good, and of course I helped Aaliyah, because she wanted to eat the paint, more then add it to the canvas. I was able to get their hand prints on them too, so I was a happy girl. We had a good time crafting in the sun together, and now when they were dry I hung them in my b-room and Tre is so proud every time he goes potty he says, " Tre Tre's paining!!!!" We will defiantly do it again!

9 or 10 months and Walking

Okay, so here are two takes of Aaliyah walking.  She took about 3 steps on the 31st of August and about 4 on September 1st so she was technically 9 months still, but on the 2nd of September turned 10 months, so I say she's closer to 10 months, while her very proud daddy says, " my girl walked at 9 months." Either way it is so darn cute to see her little body in motion on two feet. She is so funny, most the time she starts walking and then gets so excited that she starts going too fast and takes a fall, but she is quick to get back up and try again. Tre is being very encouraging and says, "yeah sissy" claps, and says, "look mommy sissy wakin." What a blessing to be home and experience such sweet times with the kids. Thank you JESUS for even in something as simple as watching a child learn to walk there is so much of You! Oh, how amazing is our God! He has given us the ability to see, hear, walk, talk, and live! Thank you LORD for another day!

So I don't make cards very often, but the card bug is going around and I have caught it! I have actually enjoyed it. Plus there were plenty of occasions for making cards. The rain, rainbow, and God's peace!

Okay, so it has been really crazy around here the last week or so. Tu is in full swing as the AD and the head football coach, it was our birthdays, and we all came down with a flu bug! WOW! When it rains it pours, but THANK YOU JESUS THE RAIN is over and we are looking forward to the rainbow! God's Promise! Yep that is what a rainbow is God's Promise! 

Speaking of God's promises the Lord has shown me the importance of memorizing scripture and claiming, or using them to battle, encourage, praise, and have peace! After-all that is what Jesus modeled for us while on the earth!  

So, during this crazy time I have been praying that the Lord would just bring peace to our home, to Tu's life at work and coaching, and to our lives at home. Well today after talking with my little bro, Josh and having my quite time with JESUS, He reminded me of the powerful truth that, 

  JESUS HIMSELF is our PEACE! (Eph 2:14 a)

When I read this verse today it hit me, and I heard the Lord speak in His still quite voice to me saying, " I am the PEACE, you need more of ME. To have more of me is to have PEACE." When I took the time to think about this I realized that it wasn't the busy schedule of football, the demanding hours of Tu's new job, the time consuming call of being a mommy to sick children, or the numerous items on my todo list that were making my life feel crazy, it was the very simple fact that I needed (need) to spend MORE time with my JESUS! More time asking Him to reveal himself to me, and be committed to spending time in prayer and His WORD so that I may know Him more! 

So instead of being a Martha and trying to multi-task even in devotions trying to have devos while I feed Tre and Aaliyah breakfast my goal is to be more like Mary and sit at HIS feet! Alone with the Lord each day for my devotions and memorize more scripture; this is my goal! 

Today was such a blessing to be in His word and Hear Him speak. I want more! Thank you JESUS that I may know you and by knowing you I may have Peace! Wow! How beautiful it is to feel the peace of the LOrd in the mist of the storm~ I am getting a glimpse of the rainbow, but I am holding onto HIS promises until I see the rainbow from Him~

He will keep Him in Perfect Peace who's mind is stayed on you because he trust in you! 

May you be with Him and may His peace fill you! Isaiah 26:3

Today September 7th you were brought into this world, and I am so thankful to your parents and Jesus for your life! You are a wonderful Husband, Father, and friend.
